Introducing Jacky

Jacky lives in Exmouth Western Australia and established Outreach Mental Health to offer education and services for supporters of people who have mental health challenges in the community and workplace.

She is a clinical mental health nurse, qualified adult educator and trainer, with additional qualifications in psychotherapeutic interventions and mental health. Her solid track record of positive outcomes include:

• Recovery focussed, holistic mental health support.
• Engaging and meaningful training and education.
• Excellence in course design and delivery.

With over 25 years of experience, Jacky is dedicated to reducing stigma and promoting self-advocacy for adolescents and adults with mental health challenges, as well as their families, caregivers, and friends. All programs in both community and workplace settings are inclusive, evidence-based and recovery focused, with an emphasis on practical strategies to enhance skills and knowledge. She is deeply committed to reducing the risk of suicide in communities and the workplace.

Jacky has successfully designed, developed and delivered an array of mental health initiatives, including:

• An outreach counselling service for a key organisation that focussed on people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
• Mental health qualifications for enrolled nurses in regional/remote areas of Australia. At the time, this on-line delivery method was the first of its kind and went on to attract student scholarships from the Mental Health Commission.
• A clinical service that supported people with diverse mental health challenges.
• Training and support for mental health in the workplace which was delivered to over 1500 employees.

Jacky was the Western Australian representative for the subject matter expert groups who reviewed and revised nationally recognised qualifications.
